Frequently Asked Questions
Things to know or organise before you get to the airport....
Do you need my passport number for the Advanced Passenger Information (API) scheme?
Answer:
New requirements state that airlines have to provide certain passport information about all travellers on their aircraft before the aircraft leaves the UK. This information is sometimes known as 'Advance Passenger Information' ('API' or 'APIS' data).
When submitting your API details, the airlines will require the following information:
If you have booked a flight travelling to or via the USA, it is compulsory that these details are added in advance. Otherwise, if Travel Republic does not request these details from you in advance, these details can be simply submitted upon check in. We have spoken to our suppliers and the airlines they use, and generally they feel confident in collecting this information at the airport when you check-in.
If you are travelling on an EasyJet flight, Ryanair flight or if you have selected online check in with any other airline, these details will need to be submitted during the online check in process.
